I have to admit that I have become complacent. After having Veronica in June I was excited to fit back into my pre-prego pants and I was able to fit back into my skinny jeans about 2 months after her birth. Then I wanted my abs back and to this day I have muscle but the skin is still stretchy, but Anthony tells me everyday how beautiful and fit I am. This and my lack of motivation has had me stuck in this rut for a while. After I fit back into my clothes and felt "normal" again I just stopped thinking about working out. It used to be my life (running tae-kwondo, track, weight lifting etc.) I KNOW that this is so wrong, especially for me, an Exercise and Wellness major! Anthony has hit the fitness road hard these past couple weeks doing P90X and has lost 6lbs already, which is so awesome...but since he is focusing on losing weight for some reason it makes me think that I'm fine becasue I dont need to loose weight, I in fact need to gain weight (muscle that is) becasue I am actually about 5lbs lighter than I was before getting pregant. (This means I have lost muscle mass).
Anyways, today I turned on the TV and saw a Brazillian Butt Lift workout and thought to my self, "My booty's fine, yeah it would be fun to do this workout program but I'm fit" THEN they introduced the pencil test. Basically you place a pencil where your butt cheek ends and your thigh begins...and if the pencil gets stuck or lost, well, you then need a little lift! I immediately went into our room to try it out, thinking I would pass with flying colors. I was wrong, I failed, and I HATE failing. So now I've realized my complacency and my wrong doings, yeah I'm "fit" but I can be better. Just like in Elder Oak's talk in General Conference, just because something is good doesn't mean there can't be something better. So I'll see ya'll in a week or so and update you on my path to gain my muscle back and lift my booty ^_^
Some picture I got off a blog of the Brazilian Butt lift's pencil test:

P.S.- DO the pencil test, it will motivate, you, it did the trick for me :)
